Looks like a delish recipe for a burger. Next time try it with ground lamb instead of beef. Lamb burgers are superb! They make fine meat balls, too. I see you mention a nice mustard instead of that nasty American habit of ketchup. Mustard goes better with most things, in my opinion, including burgers.
since you're into sharing recipes, I'll share one of mine. I'll call it chicken soup, although technically, I guess it is cock-a-leekie soup. It's the best for the cold season, and it really does the trick. enjoy!

2 cartons college inn chix broth
1 carton water
1 pkg chix thighs (rip the skin off, but don't get anal with cleaning. you're sick so just throw the damn legs in a pot)
1 bunch celery chopped (the leafy stuff, too. don't groom it, it's celery)
4-5 carrots - chop the tail ends off and throw them WHOLE in the pot .
Seriously, do NOT shave the veggies; they're not a date... just throw them in the pot!! Stop looking at the faucet. They're going to boil.
1 bunch leeks - diced or chopped - who cares? You feel like crap! Just chop the green stuff and throw it in.
1 entire bud of garlic. yes, you want to peel this, but toss in at LEAST a whole bud. not a clove, a BUD

go lay down and let it simmer till you feel like getting up.

pull the chicken out and the carrots and let cool so you can handle.
pull/shred the chicken, and dice the carrots.

Scoop out the garlic in a bowl and add a little broth. whisk/mash into a paste and whisk back into pot.
Add the chix and carrots.
toss in a small handful of cracked black pepper.
Add another carton of water and a half box of alphabet pasta and let simmer until pasta is done.

share with the whole household.

Yep - favicons show up in the favorites list and (depending on your browser) the address bar or tab titles. The favicon for The Field used to be the red circle logo with my initials all smooshed together that I've used for a couple of my other sites. Since The Field isn't about me that really wasn't appropriate.

Nice blog! WordPress is a good choice. It can be either Blog or Development Platform :) I've been using it since 2006.

I sometimes hang around here: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/ handy site (I use the same username there)

I think, if you like WordPress that you may even be able to migrate the complete site to a WordPress driven platform. I used BuddyPress in the past to set up forums/community and puzzles could be on custom post types. BuddyPress uses the forum from Automattic so integrated to start with. That enables you to work on 1 platform and leverage on existing plugins etc... Meaning: a lot of work is being done for you since BuddyPress is a social network out of the box.

A good book to read is WordPress Professional Development : http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/9682/which-wordpress-books-should-i-recommend-to-a-beginning-web-designer/9687#9687 lots of nice info in there.

One thing to keep in mind is security. One plugins that I use is the bulletproof plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bulletproof-security/ that needs some reading but is probably essential.

p.s. if you would like some nice favicons next to each link use my plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-favicons/ (beta) :)

Thanks :) I spent a couple of days researching the integration issue, and then most of another day modifying the theme to blend in with the rest of the site. The integration is accomplished with a plug-in called "WP phpBB Bridge", and if I hadn't found that I probably wouldn't have opened this blog. Thanks for the topic suggestions.
